Great idea - streamlines the whole cutting/gluing/mounting and looks like it's easy off if needed -

I used self tapping screws. #10's I think.

Used a 5/16" nut driver on my electric drill to run them in. Don't get carried away, doesn't need a lot of torque.

Anyone else considering going this route I recommend a 13"X27" piece of steel. I would have liked a litte more overlap with the upper and lower cross member than what I got with the 12x27 I used. I'm pretty sure 27 wide

looked good but i wasnt convinced it would last long term .

So redid with expanded aluminium mesh. One piece method attached to the horizontal bars top and bottom with a couple of zip ties.

And it worked out very well so did the wifes too - mothers day present.

I did the same using galvanized strips from home depot. I then gorilla glued the squares onto the back of the hood and waited a couple of hrs before beginning to zip tie the metal sheets. I was amazed what a Piece of shit plastic Chrysler used for the hood. Cheap plastic that took 3 mins to remove. Amazing quality? LOL. Oh well the mod looks awesome. Next weekend the level kit will be installed. Teraflex 2" in in front and 1 inch in rear.

Opted to buy mine for $90 including shipping from a 4X4 shop here in Ontario, Canada.

So worth it but probably going to bedline my grille this month. Nervous about the glossy look, suggestions? Paint it? Keep it glossy? Bedline it too?
