Thanks! I currently have a RR windshield light bar and have been thinking if I pull it out and replace by a rack like the KM or build a frame in the back, since this is just to carry my kayak.

However, since it's a tandem kayak and about 90lbs so I may end up using the KM. So, need to be sure the lights I already on the windshield have will work.

I did the same as Batman and it's been over a year now with no issues. Just took a mallet and a vice and bent the Smittybilt mount just enough to sit flush with the rack mount and then bent the light mount tab down a little for a better angle of light.

Just snapped these. Hopefully they'll show you what you need. It's a little hard to get a good pic but if you need others, just let me know. I have taken the rack off for a little bit because we were moving but I'll have it back on shortly.

Awesome! Thanks much!

I am currently debating with myself whether I should get one of those but would have to trow my RR light bar away or try to build a frame that hangs on the existing light bar and on supports on the rear end of the frame, as the Kargo Master does.

The final cost may end up the same. Decisions, decisions...

Sorry for the revival....but....

Please......please......please....can an owner of a Kargo Master Congo Cage do me a favor???? I'd like to see some pictures of a tape measure measuring the height of the rack above a Jeep's hard top at the front, center, and rear of the hard top. I am trying to see if a Congo Cage installed on my Jeep will clear some ducts in my garage. Thanks!!!

Not the best. Rack itself sits 5inches above hardtop front center and back. Stock Sahara no lift here's what I got.

Thanks I really appreciate it!

So, the 5" measurement you noted is what I was looking for, so thanks again! That is pretty uniform across the top from front to back? And that is as tall as it gets before adding accessories or Thule/Yakima rack on top of it?

Thanks again!!!

Yep, 5 front to back. Just ran out to confirm, front is little less, call it 4 and 7/8ths. Enjoy if you pull the trigger it is a solid rack. Do the rope wrap trick to cut on wind noise and some of the other tips people suggested. Have fun!

edit: yeah that's pre any rack attachments ie yakima, saddles, etc etc.
