I'm going to have to get one of these. Seems the best overall value to carry my canoe, with a bonus of flexibility for other cargo.

I just ordered mine last week and was checking out the thread to get install tips. I developed an idea and wants ti see if anybody has tried replacing the bolts in the frint with locking cotter pins to make a toolless soft top removal ?

I triedx it and it jiggled and made too much noise for me. I replaced the bolts with threaded rod and nuts to make it easier to line up....

Yes I have the Smittybilt SRC with mine.
Don't have any pictures with it on at the moment tho.

I've been thinking about getting one of the Congo Cages to carry my kayak since in Summer I use the soft top.

However, I only saw one photo of a Jeep with windshield lights. Most of the photos suggest that only a special bracket will fit there. Is it the case?

I do not want to install lights on top to keep ot free for the kayak so the windshield light has to stay there.

Thank you so much. I've been looking at new bumpers but I didn't know how they would look with the cage. I really like the Poison Spyder brawler but I'm not sure how that bracket will look without something under it.

I have Windshield lights on mine as well
I modified a smittybilt bracket to work with the Kargo master windshield brackets. i have had no issues with this setup.
