Marker light mod
Just did the marker light mod but I have a question.. Please bare with me If I don't check all 24 pages of this thread for the answer
With my headlights off, The marker and front grill turn signal lights blink in unisense
But with my headlights turned on the turn signal and marker lights blink opposite one another
is this the way it should be?
BTW, I am using IPF headlights if that helps
Thanks

Great mod, 30 minutes tops including 20 minutes of making sure I really wanted to cut into my wiring
Just a quick note though, If you don't want to totally freak yourself out after cutting and splicing and testing, make sure your bulb isn't burnt out before you start
I guarentee is will help you stop swearing sooner!

just went out and did this on my jeep and it worked perfectly just as they say cut the black wire off the sidemarker light and tap into the blinker wire color white/blue on the driver side that is the outter one NOT THE CENTER WIRE and on the passanger side it is also the outter wire NOT THE CENTER WIRE. Great thanks guys.
I just completed this mod yesterday, and offer up a slightly different write up that served the same purpose.
Instead of adding another 8" length of wire to the severed side marker. I followed the black (ground) wire from the fender side marker up thru it's wire loom until it met the grill turn signal loom (the white with stripe). These two looms meet about an inch from the edge of the inside of the fender edge, adjacent to the headlights. With the grill removed there's plenty of space to cut and splice the black marker wire to the white stripped grill signal, and enough room to wrap a weather seal around the scotch lock splice.
Great recommendation for an excellent modification.
