I did the mod to add turn signal function to the side marker lights a long time ago. Just a heads up if you have a marker light burn out you loose turn signal function until you replace the marker light bulb since it is now in the turn signal loop. You'll have an immediate indication that this has happened if you hit your turn signal and the dash indicator is blinking twice as fast as normal. Could make lane changes exciting if you're not careful I know my rear signal went out when the marker bulb blew, not sure about the front - I didn't check it.

 

Well after almost getting plowed into today I decided to join the club. It works perfectly and I love it.

 

If a girl can do it, anyone can do it. I soldered mine (and did a crappy job). I still think it's better than using those plastic taps. It's tucked back in and looks like nothing ever happened

Found this thread today and did the mod. Very happy with the results. I've been a nervous wreck changing lanes on the highway since I got the Jeep. I used to have a VW with the side blinkers. I feel a lot better now. Thanks!

 

No. That's strange. I would check your connection just in case. That's one good reason why I don't trust those plastic taps.

 

Totally! People actually let me over now! I want to hook up small led strips to my side mirrors like all the newer trucks and suv 's have.
