when i did this the connectors were not cutting the insulation on the wires

so i cut the wires, stripped them, and used diff connectors.

worked fine

i was quite pissed for awhile though.

Bought it in February. It was made at the end of 2010.

My '11 was made in September 2010 and I did this mod the first week I had it in February. No issues then and none 5 months later.

Just did this on my '08. Works great but i get the same thing as others posted with the lights alternating when the headlights are on. Any work around to this?

The side marker lights are supposed to alternate when the headlights are on. That is exactly the way the 2006 TJ's worked, straight from the factory.

1. Headlights, fog lights or parking lights OFF: Side marker lights flash at the same time as the front/rear turn signals

2. Headlights, fog lights, or parking lights ON: Side marker lights flash alternating to the front/rear turn signal lights.

I just wish all vehicles (especially my 2011 JK) worked this way.

Oh really? learn something new all the time on this forum. I actually like it on one hand because its a lot more noticeable when you want to turn. Its rather grown on me so I'm actually rather satisfied with it.

Thanks for the info though.
