Just did this in about 20 min!! 10 min just to run to pep boys for connectors!!

Works perfect!! Cut black wire from marker and splice into out most white/grn.

Now I don't have to worry about changing lanes in 3 lane traffic and having other car try to merge into center lane with me b/c he was on side of me and couldn't see my blinker!!

You think they would have already done this. It's mandatory for Europe. It would make sense to have it done since it is a safety feature. It's all about saving the Benjamin's. Lol

Check out the pic....it's worth a thousand words on how I got in there and did it. It's really simple and probably even easier since I had the grille off.
Great thread, takes 15 minutes if your use to wiring up electronics. Only thing I wanted to add was the black wire you have to cut and leave hanging, I used a liquid tool grip dip to seal it, lol I didnt want any future fires.

Wow, that was easier than expected. It only took 15 minutes and now the people driving next to me have no excuse before I run them over.

Just tried it on my 2011 rubicon, and it seemed like the relay wasn't strong enough because it stopped the turn signal from working

I've done this in both my 2008 & 2011.. no issues at all.

If the front turn signals stopped working and the rear ones work just fine check a couple things:

1) Double check your wiring (If everything looks good check the next couple things)
2) Check to see if the bulbs are blown (This happened to me when I did this on my 08)
3) If you have the fast blinking signal on the instrument panel, make sure you plugged them back up behind the grill (Happened to me once and several other people)

There may be some other things to check but I am pretty sure these are the most common issues

I don't understand the purpose of this mod. What exactly does this do?
