I used 10K WHITE/AMBER TYPE 2 SIDE FIRING LED STRIP LIGHT 54 LED 22 INCH to make mine. They were a tad long, but no biggie, cause you can cut them off.

I will try and do a write up. Meanwhile, if anybody orders these, make sure and get "side fire" or edge leds. They are same thing. I saw this on a jeep on the forum here.... can't remember who though. They used red ones though.

Fail!!!! Just tried to do this mod and ...did not work! I have a 12 and 1st I used the pinch clips ...nothing ...then I took them off and wired directly and still Nothing. Then I got a message in the dash saying that the blinker was out. Undid everything and reconnected them and all went back to normal no message.
I can not for the life of me understand why it did not work. snipped the black from side marker and attached it to the blinker far white ...in my case one side had a brown stripe and the passenger side had a red stripe. Did not work............

K just read through again and it seems I Cut marker black wire...and tried to t wrap the other side of the black wire from loom coming from engine not the black coming from marker........I thought you just snipped the marker and left the black end at the marker wrapped ...I did not think that was the wire being used to splice into front signal wire. Der .........So I will go back out tomorrow and retry. Dark now would not be able to see anything even if I wanted.

K success I am now in the blinking marker club! I had assumed that the black coming from loom would attach to signal ...when instead it was the black from marker that attaches to signal ...DUH!!! at least It is working now. I was paranoid about people not seeing my blinker ..since reading all of this.
