So the ground (black) coming from the side marker light is cut, and the section of black wire going to the side marker is spliced into the white/green wire (furthest from black) of the front signal below the headlight?

Not to offend you, but this should be very simple... If it's not working properly, then something is hooked up incorrectly.

Ground from the marker light should go to the hot wire that causes the marker to blink

No offense taken. As I said, that's the way it is hooked up currently. Black to outer most wire. But my fenders are chopped and I'm hooking up a 12v LED replacement- would that make a difference?

So went back and reversed everything I've done- now my running lights on the drivers side don't work at all. Outstanding. Signal works tho.

Pretty sure this doesnt work with LEDs, at least not without further modifications. Read back thru the pages, pretty sure others had the same problems with LEDs

So I blew a fuse- replaced it with a 20A and gonna try again (I would have put a 15A back in but I don't have one).

Hi,

I bedlined my inner fenders and the marker light rubber too.

I got mine as a kit from spydercustoms.

They are really bright at night. Which is really cool and I dont have to worry about a ticket.

Default Help!

So I just did the turn signal mod on the passenger side. I cut the black wire from the marker and bought a tap connector and connected it to the outer most wire farthest from the black. So as soon as i do this the turn signal does not work. but if i disconnect it the turn signal works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

By the way I have a 2012 rubicon unlimited....which sounds like it is supposed to work on the 12 since others say it works....

Edit: Figured out what I did wrong. Cut the wrong part of the black wire. Had to add more wire, at least I only messed up one side. But its working now and I'm happy!

Oh and Know I realize my marker is not working at all even with the black disconnected from outermost wire. I thought the marker light might be out but i tested it on the other side and it works....

Any ideas?

I just tried doing it but my turn signal won't turn on anymore. It will still blink when I turn the turn signal on but it won't stay on after I take the turn signal off. Any ideas?

Default worked fine on the 2012

I performed the mod on my 2012 yesterday and it work great. On the left side I connected the black wire from the side marker light to the White/Brown wire to the front light. On the right side it was the black wire from the marker light to the White/pink wire on the front light. In both cases it is the wire on the outside opposite the black wire. If you need a photo I could take one.

I cut my marker light wires way up near the connector located behind the headlight, and then tapped into the other wires up under the wire loom. I soldered the connections and put the loom back over it and it looks nice and neat, and the splice is covered over by the wire loom.

I did notice that when I was wireing it up, and I tried to test it, it will not work if you have any of the bulbs unplugged. I had the front running light unplugged, and wanted to see if the marker lite was wired up correctly and it did not work, until I plugged everything back together.
