okay i see alot of you doing the 4x6 cuts, idk about you guys but when you had no hooks did you have a gap in between the bottom of the metal inner bumper and the plastic outer bumper? there is like a re-inforced metal piece welded onto the bottom of the metal inner bumper that i believe went flush with the bottom of the outer plastic bumper. now when i got to put the assembly together before installing the whole thing, nothing is matching up, the metal inner bumper won't set in there right, and there is a good inch to inch and a half gap between the bottom of the metal inner and bottom of the plastic outer bumper. unless i have to cut alot more out of the plastic on the inside to get the hooks right? this is just really frustrating and my hands are all f'd up..

Did you try to put the inner metal piece together with the cover then when they're together put it all back on as one piece?

Yeah that's what I'm doing is putting the front assembly together then installing as one big piece. But the bolts that hold the plastic on aren't lining up and I have a big gap in between the bottom of the plastic bumper and the bottom of the metal bumper. And the one t nut in the plastic pulled out leaving me with three good bolts to hold it on and I don't want to force it.

BBirish...I did these cuts before I replaced my bumper and couldn't get mine nearly that precise. Nice job!

hmmm, well i had someone hold the cover and metal piece together as one unit for me. they held that one piece layin under the jeep while i lined up the bolts it was the easiest way to do it, getting it all back on is the worst part

Well I'm gonna grab some longer bolts and cut a bit more out of it. I'll make it work. Thanks

i actually had to recut mine 3 times, i wanted it to be just big enough to fit the hooks without having a huge hole on the outside, the inside cuts dont really matter because no one sees them anyway, good luck put a pic up when your done
