My light solution
Check out the Dennis Kirk catalog and they have them in little pods for motorcycles i had them on a bike. the look great and they are a bit smaller then the stip. just another option as this just hit my to do list. I am used to lots of ambient lighting running small boats at night.
Here is the lighting that I installed today. Mopar lighting is $267, I paid $27 shipped for all four lights and installed in about an hour. Hooked them up to the dome light so I didn't have to worry about a switch and they dim out with the dome as well. Bought the lights from the 'bay and cut out the little controller that came with them so I could get them all to light the same. 18 LEDs per bar x 4 bars.
Where did you get them?
I have been looking into replacing/adding interior lighting for my jeep and wanted your guys' opinions.
Basically, I wanted to do two colors, green for instruments and red for dome and courtesy lights.
I'm thinking of putting white glow gauge covers in the instrument panel and replacing the backlighting with green bulbs. Also want to put a green LED strip over the A/C controls to illuminate the shifters, cup holders, much like in earlier posts.
When I open the doors or turn on the dome lights, I want a much brighter, dark red. I'd replace the dome lights and add red LED stripes under the dash and front seats.
Basically I'm concerned that after all the effort it ends up looking like a bag of poopey. Has anyone attempted a two tone lighting solution?
Thoughts? And yes, I'm aware its Xmas colors.
