Like I said, I am going to check the flex next weekend, but I can say that the ride on the road is way better than stock.

Old Man Emu 2" Lift Installation Write-Up

Fantastic write-up. I do have a couple of questions.
1) Opting for the HD version to be installed on a 4-door JK, would after aftermarket bumpstops be needed?
2) And are extended brake line brackets or longer brake lines needed if the overall lift may be ~3"-3.5"?

Thank you...

Very Nice. Looks like the front end is up where it needs to be. Nice level stance.

My lift is still pretty new. At this point I need to adjust my caster, but it is not bad just a little flighty. I am going to wait a few monts to see how much if any the springs settle before I consider upper control arms.

Cool. I've been waiting for this write up. What's all this about caster and stuff though? Is that somehting an alignment shop will take care of, or is this more complicated?

As for adjustable track bars, how much work is needed to dial them in right?

Also, where can I find more pictures. I kind of like those added fog lights.

So far, NotMySonsJK seems to be happy with factory caster on this lift. And, in my experience, people with 4-doors have less issues with wandering after a lift and if that's what you have, it probably won't be an issue for you.

1. No. From what I understand, the OME coils are rated as such that over compression should not be an issue.
2. No. The shock length have been designed to act as limiting straps and they will prevent you from over extending your brake lines.

All you need to do is recenter your steering wheel (if needed) and that's something you can do yourself in minutes and a 15mm wrench.

Adjustable track bars are very simple to set and you can find out how to do it by checking out my write-up here:

Last but not least, you can see a few more pics of this JK on its new OME lift at the bottom of the write-up.

Comparing this to the TF HD BB, does the OME not come with new longer sway bar links? I did not see them pictured in WOL's writeup. With the 2.5 TF, it comes with new longer links. Just curious and trying to make up my mind! I will have bumpers and winch, so the HD version is what I plan on going wtih.

Retailing for about $650, the Old Man Emu 2″ suspension lift is by no means a ‘budget boost’ nor is it meant to be. As mentioned, this kit is a complete suspension lift that includes the replacement of your factory coils and shocks with ones that have been specifically designed and rated to offer the best ride possible.

You might know this already, but FYI If you purchased NORTHRIDGE4X4's advertised OME ''heavy duty kit" it comes with heavy duty front springs and medium rear springs.

Not exactly.

OME has 2 HD Rear springs

OME 618- Heavy constant load 300 pounds which is what we include.

and

OME 620 Heavy constant load 660 pounds - These springs should never be sold. Way to heavy
