That was my problem with it too, not red enough. But it works to let you see what it might look like in certain areas. If I were smarter I would just use photo shop! Lol

Anybody been in some mud with plastidip wheels? How will it hold up? I wanna black out my wheels, but thinking mud will just scrap it. Perhaps bedliner will be better for me and mud? Anyone have any experience with this?

Sorry i know this is old but i couldnt help but say

It's plasti dip (which i love) just go over the lugs when the wheels are back on your jeep. If you afraid of getting inside the wheel have no fear! just put plastic bags of newspaper inside the wheel well to stop that overspray. That way you can get that mean murdered look!

So has anyone just sprayed their wheels still on their Jeep? I don't have jack stands or anything to keep her off the ground if I take them all off so I was thinking I'd do it with them still on.
If you did it that way are there any pointers I should know?

I have read several posts where guys stuff newspaper between the rims and the rotors and after everything is dry simply remove the newspaper and peel the plasti dip off the rubber.

Also lots of YouTube videos showing guys doing their wheels.

Is there a low temp limit to putting this stuff on? I want to do my grill and hinges but it's starting to get a little cool up here.

I did all mine with the wheels on. I stuffed paper towels behind the wheels to cover the rotors and did 4 coats, waiting about 20min between coats. 4 months and still holding strong. I had them balanced and rotated (removing the outer balance weights and replacing them with interior weights)... cleaned the spot where the weights were are sprayed another quick two coats to cover the exposed wheel. It's been offroaded a few times and they clean up pretty well with a pressure washer and good soap.
I love the black wheels over stock.

Do it.
