Default Can't get the damn screws out!

I got the plates cut, drilled, primed, and painted.....now my ratchet broke getting the screws out. I need a pneumatic tool to get them out. Any easy way?

Did mine yesterday. The change is subtle, but any adult back there for more than 30min will thank you.

1/2 drive extension (taller the better) and a breaker bar are a must IMO.

Also closes that gap from the duster

Default tilt the front seat?

Apologies for hijacking the thread... this mod is great and similar to something I want to do on the front seat. I actually want to tilt the driver's seat forward a bit to take the steep back angle out of the bucket seat. There's a thing called "bucket seat syndrome" (really.... google it) that some in my family are experiencing. Since the JK front seats have no tilt adjustment like many cars have, the only other option we have is a wedge cushion.

Has anyone tried this mod on the front seat? I like the bar stock version - would anyone be able to make a pair sized for the front seat for me?

Thanks and love this forum!

Maybe the 2011 is different, but this did not work for me... so unfortunately I had to rework mine with larger holes and a new location for the longer 3 pieces.

I would recommend:

1-1/2" x 3/8" bar stock

Front 4: 2-1/2" long, 1/2" hole 3/4 inch from the end
Rear 3: 5" long, 1/2" hole 2-1/4 inch from the end.

Great write up. I've done this as well. The only thing worth mentioning here is that, when you lay your seats down, they don't lay as flat. So, if you camp or sleep in the back like I do, it's not really all that flat anymore.

This mod is the 2nd best mod I've done. Man are those bolts tight!

Chrysler are you listening? Lose the stupid back-folding non-removable head rests that block the rear window and put in reclining rear seats with removable head rests!
