This likely would increase the injuries incurred to the passengers in the rear seat. Just my two cents.
WOW..
If you get in accident bad enough to break off a seat bolt, you have alot of other things to worrie about than a bolt...like death.
I have been in the collision repair shop for over 35 years and have never, I mean NEVER seen seat bolt break off, or shear off any vehicle Ever! We see about 500-600 accident vehicles a year. Some of them real bad, like interstate accidents with tractor trailer crashes, some people have died in them. My friends and I have been fabricating suspensions, roll cages and anything you can think of on trucks and completely replaced, redone every nut & bolt on the suspension on brand new Jeeps for that matter, and have torn up, (rolled over) and trashed some of them and have never broken a seat bolt.
I hope you dont have a lift on your rig, because someone my have taken a bolt out of your control arm or axle and used a lock washer instead of locktite. That would scare me more that a seat bolt.

Just my 2 cents

I added about 1/2" to the front bolts and the middle bolts (the lower of the back bolts)
Sorry no pics
Wife rode 200 miles in the back seat last weekend and said it was fine

Great Mod! Finished this this weekend. Back bolts were a PIA...but got everything figured out. Think I may recline it a little more when i add seat covers. Added about a 1/2 inch all around.

I just did this, it leans back a little more, but not at all what I was expecting. No way was it reclined back as much as the OP's original pictures... must be the different angles from before and his after.

You're crazy...look at the front bracket for the seats... they swivel front and backwards when the bolt is removed... the pivot point is a rivet used to hold the 2 pieces together... those rivets will give out long before these elevated bolts do.

Default Great mod. Anyone try a different seat?

Awesome mod. Man, wouldn't it be great, especially for us bigger folks, if the manufacturer made a rear seat that slid back a bit to give the back seaters some leg room, and reclined by design? It seems so many people complain about the back seat...

So, has anyone tried to bolt in a different seat, say a rear bench from a different vehicle? One that reclines? Or, miracle I know, slides back???
