Under-Floor Storage
Looks really good! Maybe another thing you can do is get one of those locks that set to fit your Jeep key instead of carrying around an extra. I think they are pretty common now in stores. BTW SiliconTi that is a fantastic idea to add on!!!!!!!!

This is a great idea. I'm going to build one with one large drawer using these slides.

ronjenx The Original is great. Thank you for posting and sharing.
Questions:
1. Is the platform sturdy enough without a middle support?
2. Is there enough room to store a Hi Lift jack in the storage area?
3. Did you use 1/2" board?
Any changes you would make now that you have lived with it for a while?

2. How long is a high lift jack? Look at the dimensions of the main box in the first post.
3. I used 5/8" OSB.
I can't think of anything I would do differently. It is working well for me.
Saw this post last night and decided to throw one together today. Used plywood and ripped some pressure treated 2x6 that I had lying around. I ripped them to a true 4 inches tall, used 1/2 plywood for the top. I was going to go to Lowe's for the carpet, but I used something else that I had for the outside. I had 3M spray adhesive, sprayed the plywood and the back of the rug. Stuck really well; the back of the carpet was rubber. Stapled the inside of the rolled edges of carpet with staple gun. Some paint, hinges, and secured it to the seat bracket. Going to figure out a way to keep it open. May get one of those gas shocks to mount in there. Whadia think???
The original one in this thread shows pictures of it being screwed down to the floor, and a locking cover.
