Default looks good

Looks really good! Maybe another thing you can do is get one of those locks that set to fit your Jeep key instead of carrying around an extra. I think they are pretty common now in stores. BTW SiliconTi that is a fantastic idea to add on!!!!!!!!

This is a great idea. I'm going to build one with one large drawer using these slides.

Default Great Original Idea

ronjenx The Original is great. Thank you for posting and sharing.

Questions:
1. Is the platform sturdy enough without a middle support?
2. Is there enough room to store a Hi Lift jack in the storage area?
3. Did you use 1/2" board?

Any changes you would make now that you have lived with it for a while?

1. Plenty sturdy. It supports my 70 lb. too box. It has also supported a 250 lb. locomotive battery strapped down on it. (My brother and I could have made a good Laurel and Hardy-esque short if we had videoed getting that thing out of the JK!)

2. How long is a high lift jack? Look at the dimensions of the main box in the first post.

3. I used 5/8" OSB.

I can't think of anything I would do differently. It is working well for me.

Some paint, hinges, and secured it to the seat bracket. Going to figure out a way to keep it open. May get one of those gas shocks to mount in there. Whadia think???
this is freaking awesome!!!!

All painted up. I trimmed the tub storage cover so that I can still access it with the added cubby. Works pretty well so far. Still debating on whether to carpet it or not though. Going to raptor line the tub in the future..... Sent from my iPhone using JK-Forum

I've got mine secured by two brackets that screw into the security loops on the back. Also working on keeping the lid closed by use of magnets

Which ones are you asking about.
The original one in this thread shows pictures of it being screwed down to the floor, and a locking cover.
