Water Pump Replacement
I understand that your BASIC warranty expires at 3yr/36k. BUT...the POWERTRAIN warranty goes to 50-60-70 thousand miles depending on your year model. The Water Pump is a Powertrain item. A Deductable may apply.
Just replaced my water pump today. Only hassle is draining the radiator. Other than that quick and easy job. The Jeep dealer wanted over 400 to do it. Total cost for me was less than 75 bucks and some of my time.
Just noticed a small stain of coolant coming from mine.
I have an '08 with the lifetime powertrain warranty. I've read in this thread that some folks have had theirs covered under this warranty. Can anyone confirm that this IS a powertrain item covered under the warranty?
