Default Yep

To each his own. I had an old Trooper 2 and I cut the thing in half and made it a flat bed with a smoke stack and tractor flapper. Didn't care what it looked like as long as it jumped stumps. But the my JK is my first brand new vehicle and I am gonna have a hard time making the first cut.

Anyone tried this install with an intergated winch? I have a Warn 9000i, its not here with me (just moved to norcal from mass) so I can't measure the height of it to determine if it would hit that lower crossmember.

Thanks for the help, mostly just wondering if its worth it to ship it out here or just pick up something else with an external solinoid.
So no one has done this with an intergrated winch?

A winch with an integrated solenoid that you can't mount externally out of the way, i.e. Warn XD9000i, 9.5ti. I don't have the winch with me and need to know if it's too tall to run upside down due to the front crossmember. Trying to decide if its worth it to ship across the country.

This is a pic of my Smitty 8000 and its pretty slim. I dont think you could mount anything as big as that warn without cutting the cross member out. even then your solenoid would be open to getting smashed.

Thanks for the reply, and the pic! This is sadly what I thought, guess I'll sell the xd and get something else.

Works out though because I payed $40 for a $1200 winch, gotta love friends that drink too much, "just get me a couple of handles of cheap vodka", I think I still owe him one more?

If you're ever over in Napa we should do some newb wheeling together
