Now how do I get a winch and mount it up without the wife knowing. LOL
Have it mailed to the neighbor or a good friend's house. That's what I do. He just takes it to his barn and then we put stuff on whenever we get a chance.

I wish I had the skills to tackle this project, that looks good for the stock bumper!

Sorry to add another question to an older thread.

What is the maximum amount of weight that can be added to the front of a JKU Sahara before you'd need to install a heavier suspension? So far I've got an M8000-S sitting here and working out what kind of plate to fab up for this. The synthetic had a good deal of weight savings and want to make sure I don't end up with a winch plate to mount it that weighs more than is good for the suspension. I've debated trying 3/8" aluminum instead of the standard 1/4" steel, but I believe the flexability of the steel will be the right way to go?

Not sure what the exact weight is but all I did was add my 11000lb winch with a synthetic line to a Modified TJ winch plate and I noticed a sag with my stock suspension.

I don't think this will work on a rubicon. You may have to mount it on top.
