I'm dying to see the outcome. I have a 2012 Rubi that i'm wanting to mount a winch to. What did the labor set you back?

here is the shot I promised of my 2012 rubicon with the winch behind the bumper! It sits just a touch lower and forward. You can also see the plate just beneath it.
What do you guys think?

mister ed.....The labor was $300 for materials and all! I think the guy did an awesome job! He wants to fab some side steps/rails for me and a roof rack!

Very polished look. Do you foresee any structural issues with hacking away that much of the bumper?

Honestly, there wasn't much of a bumper there. We didn't really hack that much of to start, just enough to fit the winch plate; which, was welded to the frame and giving me more of a real bumper then I originally had! We cut out 2 holes in the bottom of the crossbar to secure the winch to the plate and there is a 1/4" metal bar attached to the bumper that was removed and that was about all the cutting we did.

I think you got a great deal for that price! Looks perfect and hopefully I will be able to fab something up like that as soon as I pick up a winch!

Very nice ghoster! I see you even have the sleeve on yours. By the way, I also live in Vegas! So if you don't mind a tag-along, hit me up! I don't do rock crawling because this is my DD, But I wouldn't mind over landing! I'm slowly modding my jeep for expeditions.

I'll leave my number in your mailbox!

I have a Smittybilt X20 8K winch. It is waterproof, so if the front end is down in the water, you can still winch yourself out.
