So I got the knob off it's a get mad and whack job. It won't be going back on there. I destroyed the bushing that goes from linkage to shifter love the short cuts jeep took put a very nice plastic bushing there...

 

Mine broke also knnphillips about 3 or 4 weeks ago in holly beach, LA. Went to dealer, they did 2 recalls and sent me home, didn't have the bushing in stock. I used 3 zip ties and got it staying in place. So well that I can put it in and out of gear. Shitty design there on the bushing.

 

I'm going to Lowe's this morning and I'm going to try and find a brass fitting or something other the plastic to put there. I also have to find a shifter knob I refuse to put that thing back on.

 

Son is bout to leave for LSU ( freshmen), wondering if he could drive down with us

 

Only thing is he has a 98 TJ w/ buckshot m/t, other than that he's straight stock

 

Don't know why he couldn't can't really refuse someone to drive on the beach plus his in a jeep.

 

He's more than welcome in my opinion.

 

Bud same time same place next Sunday correct? I should have atleast 2 others with me possibly 3 everyone wants to go all of a sudden.lol

 

Btwn family vacations & start of school. Besides who doesn't want to go to the beach in a JEEP!
