Trimming fenders IS "something"... Ask Duane
.
Rick still has the other fenders if you tear yours off
yes, but is never mentioned how and how often he wheeled it and might have made mistakes not to mention he never serviced his equipment he just drove it, so that tells me a few things all in itself

I know that it probably amounts to a hill of beans, but thats just me. Plus I don't trust myself enough to be cutting into my flares, and then there is always the issue of the side signal.... more hassle than I want to deal with ATM.
Precisely. It looks like most people, after reading that thread, are starting to worry that going to a Double Cardan Driveshaft is a bad thing to do - but honestly, with that much of lift, the stock DS wouldn't last long anyway - no matter how many times you replace it with another stock DS. These things come with zerk fittings for a reason, and a lot of people just put them on and forget about it.
I had read it the same day the OP posted it and followed Eddie's explanations. And he's right - with a 4" lift, you would definitely need to go with the Double Cardan Joint DS like what the OP has, but the transfer case exploding could've been from any number of reasons - most likely from lack of maintenance, if it's been on since 2007.
No, you are 100% right. Trimming is something. However, it's not something I want to do at the moment. I'd rather wait, and save, for some of those bushwacker flat flares.
