Yeah, I'd noticed that on some aftermarket bumpers, but for the vast majority, aftermarket winch bumpers will not usually need a winchplate, unless it is for accomodating the PowerPlant or a larger winch.

I've been spending a LOT of time on Tooltopia looking at their tool selections and found a couple of Torque wrenches I'll be getting, but I'm having difficulty finding complete socket sets

I'm not really sure. I think it's the WARN. A couple of big, silver-colored plates that flip around. Nothing fancy.

So, there's a difference in the actual tools themselves.

I would look at getting separate sets like easy-to-read sockets and Reversible Ratcheting Wrenches which are a great help. I don't think you will get those with the large tool sets. There are several Ratchets that are different also. You may stop by the sears in MWC and look at them closer before you buy online.

Good point Jeff. That's something I wanted to do is to actually go to a SEARS (and I might go down there to the one here in the mall later tonight) and see what they had by way of individual sets rather than a large kit. This way, I can focus the dollars more towards the items that I'd actually use rather than having a large kit which may have a bunch of stuff I never use.

I have the warn one and have used it 3 times twice with wire Cable and once with synthetic. I have been happy with it.

The RC starts at $299 for a 9,500 pound 5.5HP unit.

Nothing stopping me from buying the recon... I am just still weighting my options.
