You are not mistaken, EVO does upper and lower, TF is just upper.

From what I've read, people are not having their lower Cs bend, only their upper. So, in that regard they are probably equally as good for the job.

I chose TF because it was cheaper, and I'm a cheap bastard

Now if you guys weren't half a day away, I'd come right over and hang out/BS with you guys.

Guess I learnt something. I know when usually the questions of gussets came up, it's usually been with respect to the D30s, so I guess I assumed the D44s would be stronger. I know the PR44s don't need gussets

To me, after reading many threads on bent axles, bent Cs, etc., I just looked at it the same way I did Evap canisters. I'd rather spend a couple hundred now to prevent something rather than a lot more to fix something that broke/warped/bent later. Prevention is better than cure - and in the case of Jeeps, a LOT cheaper usually

You are correct on the PR44s, Dynatrac designed them with very beefy (or veggie for those non meat eaters ) Cs, so no gussets would be needed their. Chrysler, however, got skimpy on the metal on their D30 and D44 housings
