OK bs
hard to tell, but is the yoke broken or the u joint or both?
if just the u joint, not expensive at all.

if the yoke, then not sure how this works, but not too much $ either.

?? Or is it a driveshaft yoke
? It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I think that's more on the axle (judging by the cable to the right). Like Jerry said - if it's just the yoke or u-joint, not very expensive. How did this happen??
I was trying to pull someone out (I was going forwards mind you), my tires started to slip. Before I can even react I hear the most horrible sound in my life....
The only thing I can think of that I might have done wrong was I turned my wheel. Stupid mistake... probably what did it.
Ugh... not happy.
But yes, it looks like both the axle side and the side closest to the tire is trashed.
For reference the above picture was of my front driver's side.

I found this: http://northridge4x4.com/proddetail....AG-RUBICON-OUT
It's called an "Outer Axle Shaft", it looks like whatI toasted as well... but Northridge doesn't give any indication as to if this is a JK or a D30 or what... I am not even sure if those things matter here.
I am going to go search around to forum and see if anybody has a write up on this... brb.

From my research it looks like I need a new axle shaft... Considering I had to limp home on it, I was reading it's probably wise to just go ahead and replace both drive and passenger (plus they seem to come in kits).
The real question is what is the cheapest, trustworthy, front axle shaft kit for a D30 JK?
Back to the search box I go...
