Like any other customer service...try another dealer and get another answer.

If you don't like one, go to the next. Some are willing to help (they do get paid for this work) and some aren't. Don't spend another dime at the one who won't help you.

Not true but maybe in CA , I'm ok for 4" of lift and 35s no issues at all with my dealership. Sure it's an area/dealer thing

I can't speak for Chrysler but I did work at a BMW motorcycle dealership for a few months years ago. I was waiting to report in for military basic training and had a few months to kill so they hired me specifically to catch up on their backlog of warranty claims. For BMW I had to send in every warranty part along with a chunk of paperwork. If anything looked weird or incomplete, BMW would hold payment until it was cleared up. So no, the manufacture does not automatically pay the dealer on every claim, they have a system to protect themselves from fraudulent dealers.

In the DFW area, Grapevine Chrysler/Jeep and Grubbs both sell lifted jeeps with 35's on them. It was their Jeeps that helped me decide to go with 35's.

Screaming Lizard does the work for Grubbs. So, they could probably answer as to the legality of it, in TX anyway.

I think this is where these forums get confusing. How many, "Will this lift/tire void my warranty?" threads have been started? They keep getting told about Magnuson-Moss. Maybe a sticky needs to be put up that basically says, , if you mod it, then you void it. Your dealer may work with you. Odds are that they won't.

I personally figured I would mod my Jeep, and if I have to pay for the repairs, then I would upgrade the parts that need to be replaced. I don't go to the dealer. Not because they weren't great to me, but because I actually like working on and spending time with my Jeep.

I dont think they should warranty it. You have to be wheeling hard with 35's to break a dana 44 with lockers and 32 spline outer, 30 spline inner....

There are guys running dana 30's on 35's for YEARS without issues. (from my old tj days)

The front axle in a rubi shoud be good for up to a 37" tire if you know how to drive off road and with lockers.

Did you do the locker mod? Did you run the lockers at high speed?

I hope they warranty it for him. He was just out having fun with his Jeep. Big deal.

Unfortuneately Warranty work is for Manufacturer parts that have failed under "Normal Driving Circumstances" not "Abusive Practice". Offroading and taking on challenges that are beyond the scope of the 'Trail Rated" certification such as heavy rock crawling, excessively deep water, full throttle mud bogging, car crushing, and roll over due to extreme off camber situation are all considered "Abusive Practice".

Warranty, by the rules of their own book, should not do this repair.

I will say I dont agree with the VOIDING of a warranty. I think that is far overstepping a limit.

But fixing for free due to abusive practice is also over the limit.
