Certainly so. But that's trail rated how that sucker comes off the pregnant truck. Not with 35s.

I certainly empathize with your situation. And I think it is total BS that the dealer is trying to jerk you around on this one. But I am always confused as to why people don't simply bring it back to stock before going in to the dealer for major warranty repairs. I know it is a pain in the A$$ but it is certainly worth the extra effort.

Anyway I hope it works out for you and that they do the right thing. Good luck

On the other side of the coin I never understand why the dealers even give a shit...most dealerships are struggling just to stay in business these days...and the majority of the revenue earned comes out of the service department for each dealer. So when 90% of the work is all bs oil changes and brake jobs, why on earth do they get off on busting peoples balls for broken axles, blown trannys, engines etc. They should welcome the repair and be more then willing to turn there head and not be so anxious to point the finger. They really should just shut there mouth and do the repair. I mean either way they are getting paid for the warranty repairs from chrysler, it's not like chrysler has there own people come out and inspect each and every warranty repair to verify the legitimacy of the claim. The only time DC sends a rep out for such a situation is when the customer has an issue and complains to them (in most cases). It just makes no sense...if they didn't give people such a hard time about warranty claims they would certinaly get a hell of alot more repeat business, referralls and generate more revenue.

Just had a thought....I wonder if the reason they are such ball busters about warranty work...is really just a scam? Are they double dipping? What I mean is do they deny the warranty claim to the customer claiming that mods void the warranty in an effort to get the customer to pay for the job out of pocket and also they put the job in behind the customers back as a warranty repair? So in that scenario they get paid twice for the job once from the customer and once from DC. ? Never thought of it that way until now..I really wouldn't be surprised if I am correct. Does anyone have any insight regarding this?

good points... i could have put it back to stock... and probably should have, hindsight is 20/20 i guess. i have all the stock components and have torn the suspension apart enough that i could do it in a few hours i am sure... but i dont have the stock tires anymore.

never thought of the dealer double dipping... food for thought for sure.

another thing is that whenever i bring my junk in they say... "oh yeah.... the district service manager was in and he said no way"... happened to me three times now... but as a fool i kept going back. i can see them using that excuse once... but 3 times? they must think i was born yesterday.

Hey, its all about responsible wheeling. Not only to the community but also your Jeep. You can't break something "going full out" and expect it to get repaired for free......its just reality man.

Remember with my comments, I never said you abused your Jeep. Thing is, with 35s and stock axles, you don't have to abuse it to break stuff.
