That would be great if it did work. I had contacted Aussie a few weeks back and they said they would not be building one for the JK until maybe sometime in 2008. They called our 44 "the metric 44." The pinion shaft is reportedly larger, which would effect the way the locker engages. I have considered using a TJ carrier/TJ Aussi combo though. I don't see why it couldn't be made to work.

I don't understand why the ring & Pinion would effect the aussie since it has the axle shafts going into them and goes inside the existing carrier. The D44 in the rear of the X is 30 spline and a standard aussie would fit. The Rubicon already comes with a selectable locker so a aussie for 32 spline isn't really needed unless people wanted up grad there axle shafts. Maybe I'm off-track here. Wouldn't be the first time.

I'm with you man, if our 44 is 30 spline, where is the issue? I looked on Aussies web site, and they have a bunch of Dana 44 30 spline lockers for all types of different rigs.... I'm wondering if they are not saying it fits ours yet, b/c they just haven't had time to test fit? With the performance my front locker gives me, i'd willing to take the risk and try it out.... hmmm....

The ARB part numbers used are RD100 for the front and RD117 for the rear,
The RD117 fits just fine the thing is it dose not sit flush with the outside of the bearings its short by 5mm and can move from left to right between the two bearings so thats no good at all?

I have mailed ARB but still waiting on them?

Have not done the front yet as I'm waiting to see what ARB say if the RD100 will fit?

May be this can help Nothridge4x4 and take a look at those part numbers. If I hear any ting back from them ill let you all know hear.

Im keen to know if the aussie locker is a ARB or some other make?

Thanks
The Aussie locker is by Torq Masters Technology, Inc. It is an automatic locker that replaces the spider gears. "lunch box" locker is what some call them.

For the 30 it is the same as for any D30, I'm not sure about the 44.
