Body Armor side guards
[QUOTE][Is it just me, or does it seem like there's not enough there to keep the rails from flexing upward when you hit a rock? Are they supposed to be supported vertically by the body?
/QUOTE]
I asked the same question. Answer was: The rails are designed to have some flex.
The rails and brackets are solid. I feel that they will do the job they are designed to do if they get the mounting for them fixed.
They are sending me a new set this week. I am hoping they will be built right this time.

Mine haven't come yet. I was told week before last (end of August), by Alan in customer service, that my set would be shipping on Tuesday, 4 Sept. It is now 11 Sept. I called them today to get an update or tracking number. The response I got was--"I'm sorry, you're not in our system" WTF!!! I'm about a day away from demanding my money back. This issue hasn't been resolved in almost a month now. There aren't words to describe how unhappy I am with Body Armor at this point.
I just got off the phone with Alan--no replacements have been shipped yet--HUH? When I reminded him that he told me they would ship on 4 Sep, he tried to pass the buck to Mark--who longer works for Body Armor--I know this, because Alan told me that right before he told me my rails would ship 4 Sep.
Well, apparently upon inspection of what they were going to ship, they discovered their entire stock of 4-dr JK rails had the same issue.
Alan told me they're "trying to decide" at this point how they're going to resolve this issue. He said the "might" rework the design and send replacements--or they might just send spacers. I personnally think the idea of a patch fix by using spacers is COMPLETELY unacceptable for a product that costs $500.
Alan just called me back--I told him I wanted something in writing from Body Armor indicating what the fix was going to be, and an estimate of when this issue would be resolved. I was told to expect an email by close of business tomorrow. He did say it would be AT LEAST another week before any issues would be resolved. This is getting ridiculous--I'm calling the vendor I bought them from to find out what I need to do to return them. Sad too, I think they look good and are very solid--they just don't stinking fit :(

I bought mine from 4wd.com. Called them early last week and was told to expect a call from BodyArmor within a few days concerning the rails and to call them back if BodyArmor didn't contact me. Didn't receive a call and I haven't been able to reach the customer service rep I was working with at 4wd.com. Today I was on hold with them for 35 minutes today before I gave up.
