I put this in on Friday. Took about 45 seconds. Super easy to install. Looks like it was always supposed to be there (except for the big Daystar logo). There is only one way to install it and only one way you can screw in the compass on the bottom. I say go for it.

funny story i was reading this cause i ordered my daystar dash panel last week, and the mail man drives up as i finish page 1 run out to mail box and it is hanging on the hook of my box,(glad i didn't have to go to town to get it) look on the parcel declaration and it says dash panel, wewhoo
and it was only 5 days out so I was very impressed.
I will use tool box liner in mine, its what i have around, and it is only for sunglasses and my off road gps unit any how.
I think with the day star emblem i will go to the junk yard find a cherokee and pop off the"jeep" emblems and stick them on. to cover those up.

As does mine. Also, one of my two GPS units messes it up, but the other doesn't. It probably has something to do with the amount of material.
Either way, while the eGrips stuff will keep things from sliding, I can't imagine how hard it is to clean that stuff with all the pollen that ends up all over my dash.

that one is neat
the idea of the cut out for the cord holder is a good idea
might not be able to put Jeep on it due to copy right issues but you could put JK there

Default I have it

I have it and love it. It's ten times more functional than the stock dash or just adding grip tape. Works great for a cell phone and sunglasses.
