I've noticed that sometimes the compass was a little off because of a cell phone, but who really uses the stock compass anyway? It's like relying on the stock thermometer. If you have a decent GPS you can rely on that compass which is MUCH more accurate.

Sweet setup there Mykal.

I noticed my compass only goes south and southeast now. Might be because of my aftermarket stereo and harness right under it? I dont keep anything on the dash yet.

A cell phone, depending on whether it's quad band or soemthing else, will mess up the compass if you put it in the front (larger) space but not in the rear one. I cut to fit a "handstands" dot not-a-sponsor-com sticky pad and it works great - black to match the theme and can be removed and refreshed with windex if and when it gets dirty or unsticky.

Compass Schmumpass....that's what my GPS is for. haha Seriously though...I used to put my iPod on the top of the dash thing and then my compass reversed itself...Doh! I just disconnected it and used the wires to power the light in my pitch/roll gauge.

Ok so I bought it and it arived yesterday. After installing it I noticed under the lip on the front, in the middle of it, the plastic seemed to bend up a bit. I wasn't sure if I had attached the GPS antenna incorrectly (even though there is really only 1 of 2 ways to mount it).

But looking at all your pictures, you have the same thing on yours, so I guess that's just the way it mounts.

Also, being that I have the Steele Blue JK, my interior is blueish gray, so the black panel kinda sticks out but I expected that.

For the record, I really do like it, but as I suspected things slide around in the trays.
I ordered the eGrips but they said that they would take 5-7 days to arrive, while the Dash Panel only took 2 (granted, I do live 1 hour away from Quadratec... a real money saver for times I purchase large and therefore costly items to ship.)

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
