Ok, first of all, there was some confusion, by SlickWill, whether it was his driveshaft or an axleshaft, and even though it's titled "Driveshaft broke", if you read it what he describes sounds like an axle shaft, maybe both. Next, did you read what he was doing to break it? 4WD on pavement is a pretty bad on a drivetrain that's not made to do that, probably worse than a lot of offroading, IMO. I don't think that really falls into normal wheeling breakage, which is what I was referring to. I'm not doubting that people have broken the driveshafts, but I scan these posts daily and I just haven't seen or read of many, actually any, users that have had a driveshaft breakage from wheeling.

Talking Driveshaft worries

I emailed rev111 about their project vehicle running a S.L. 2.5 inch lift and 37's. They said they hit moab pretty hard with the stock driveline without problems but that they have ordered a rear cv shaft for the future.

37's and moab sounds like a good proving ground for the driveline to me. I'm personally up in the air about replacing mine when it finnaly arrives though, cause I'd like the piece of mind.

At full flex my front drive shaft rubs the side of the trans (automatic 3" lift w/ 35's) Are the new shafts thinner? Will they eliminate this problem?

Mine is doing that too. The JB Reel shafts do look to be a little smaller in diameter. That thread linked a couple of posts up was definately an axle shaft, not a driveshaft.

big difference between an axle and driveshaft???? I've ordered mine already. I don't like the CV style that is on the oe shafts. I'll let you know it it is thinner. The stockers are so fat that I can't see how it wouldn't be a lot thinner.

I've got a question for you guys. Mine is a daily driver but when I do go offroad, I do some pretty intense rock crawling. Should I upgrade to 1310 or 1350's? Is there that big of differance between the two? Sorry if it's a dumb question but 1310 & 1350 is just a number to me. I would think 1350, obviously because it is a higher number and more expensive. However, is it really worth the extra dough and how much longer will it last? I have no idea, please advise. Thanks!

JE Reel shafts are a little bit smaller diameter than stock.

Does your shaft rub or is it just the zip tie thing that holds the boot (is metal rubbing)?

Here is a pic showing a side by side comparison between the stock driveshaft and the JE Reel driveshaft:
