Review what your state law says as I posted before. Make an appointment to see them with some sketches of what your proposed plans are before you actually come up with a solution as the law is pretty vague and I would believe in strict adherence to it a lot of new vehicles off the lot wouldn't comply.

I believe that as written, the further back any flaps or fenders are placed the higher from the ground they can be. Nothing written or implied has anything to do with the front fenders, so concentrate your efforts on the rear. Measure from the center of your axle to the rear front edge of your bumper, hang your solution there, make sure it comes within a third of the measured distance to the ground and covers the with of the tire tread. The stubby rear bumper is going to make it look a bit odd, but it should be removable if you tap the mounting points into the underside of the rear bumper.

Exhibiting good faith to try to correct the issue is going to go a lot further than trying to slide around things.

That's the kinda thing that can cause accidents.
Come on man. Let those among us with all of their tires under their fender flares cast the first stone....... uh, or not cast the first stone? well, you know.....

My tires do stick out past my flares, but when i come off of a rock road after runnin through a buncha mud, i try not to get on the highway until there are no cars in sight. I try to haul ass and sling all the rocks off as fast as i can. If some poor bastard catches a rock to the windsheild or whatever after that, well i guess shit happens. Its happened to me several times. I mean what else can you do? Have a jeep that dont look cool?

Not sure if its possible, but since you already have a set of narrow and wide flares, can you cut the edge off of one and use it as a spacer to make them both wider?

Just a thought. The contour of the flares probably wont match up, but maybe you could fabricate them together somehow...

i was just thinking about that... could work.. i think im going to try and use part of the stock flare that i trimed and attach it to the outside of the wide xenons enough to cover the complete tire.. i only need mayb 2 inches to cover them.. its very close.. ive seen most jeeps running around with a inch or two sticking out.. so ill see how it works thanks
