I have also recieved the same error when trying to update . I sent a PM to Darnell at Hypertech and hopefully he well have a solution. As for now I am stuck on the regular setting as well and cant modify anything or return to stock. I hope this isnt a problem that will require me to go to the dealer and have the whole damn thing reflashed.

Is this a problem with the latest update for the controller? If so that sucks because I just bought one on here and the guy just updated it for me.

I have had my JK in for service three times since the hypertech. I always program back to stock before I take it in and I have never had an issue. I think the main reason you want to reprogram is if the dealer does a flash while in premium mode or other mods through the hypertech, there may be programming issues that wont be resolved. If you reutrn it to stock before you take it in no issues to worry about. It takes about 30 min to do correctly, but well worth it in my opinion. I have not had the errors others speak of, my JK is an 08 do not know if that is it or you guys getting errors are playing with electrical while updating.

Do not:
roll up/down windows
keep lights on
open gate
open doors
turn on radio
plug in something to cig lighter
etc.etc.

I will roll down my window and close all doors and do update through the open window. A little ackward, but no errors for me and I have probably done it 10 times now.

Once i asked the guy at the dealer that i want to install a programmer and he said that when i plug it in and install they will be able to see that i updated my computer when they plug in their computer. they said that they will be able to void my warranty that way. so if before each service i uninstall the hypertech and take the jeep in they wont be able to notice it? thats what your saying right?
