Being too lazy to read all the posts here, do you have any info on the amount of air these are moving as compared to stock?

I am ordering SPALUSA part # 30102049, I will be putting a kill switch with it also, he said it was best because when fan is half submerged in water it could cause bend or breakage of fan blades. I will only shut it off if stuck in water that deep not just to go through water/mud. He sent me a diagram of how to wire the relays. He said to use one 40 amp single pole double throw relay if wiring without switch, and two if wiring with kill switch.

There are 3 wires at top of the fan shroud electrical connector, black is ground and the other 2 are high and lower speed power.

Have we found out if the "green" resistor will affect the SPAL fan install?

I installed mine this weekend. Pretty much an easy install. The only thing I have noticed is that the fan only runs when the Jeep tells it to run HIGH. I know the OEM motor is a two stage motor but my guess is the SPAL motor is only a one stage. I will post some pictures of the install sometime tonight. I did mine a little different but I think it will work better.

doesn't the resistor pack make the fan run low (running through resistor pack) and high (bypassing resistor pack) and not the fan motor?

Dont know. WHen I installed my SPAL fan, I used all the stock wiring to make sure to keep the green thing in the loop, but it doesnt seem to be doing much...

maybe the spar fan takes more current to run than the stock fan, and possibly the resistors aren't allowing enough current to flow at 'low' setting to turn the SPAR?

need a schematic to determine what's upstream and controlling the fan.
