I will still take the teraflex route because of their customer service. I would rather just have a complete system from them, if anything goes wrong I am 100% taken care of. Thank you Dirtman for the advice. You know your shit, but I am still going the teraflex route. Hell, They hooked me up when I even thought their shipping cost was too high to me regarding some stuff I ordered this week. Customer service at it's finest. That's 90 percent of the battle in business. Make sure customers are happy.

Then why are you going to use fox shocks when teraflex offers shocks?
Fox also makes a air bump that would be better then the speed bumps.

They are the remote resivoir FOX shocks that teraflex sells with their systems.

This W.E. Rock Dirt Riot racer and multiple-year KOH Everyman class award winner is a friend of mine. He thinks quite highly of Teraflex Speed Bumps:

That LJ gets more abuse in a weekend than most of us will inflict on our rigs in a lifetime. Best of my knowledge he has never had a Speed Bump fail. He can run anything he wants, not spoonsored by Teraflex.

I'm not trying to be obstinate, but the Teraflex hate is palpable here and completely unwarranted. Cheezis, thought I was over on Way-A-Diss for a second.

Those pics seem old of jasons rig. Last i saw he had bilsteins and plane jane urethane stops that were located on his control arms up front. That rear pic using the bumps may be accurate ive never crawled around under his rig that hard. Hes also in the stock mod class if im not mistaken. I dont know if he is allowed a true hydraulic bump stop...id bet money hed rather have adjustability, but even though hes not sponsored those racers always praise what there currently running regardless in hopes of a sponsorship... He has his own shop and im sure still got a deal on them...

I just took the photos yesterday at Outdoor Expo. Who cares if he "got a deal on them" Maertz, he gets "a deal" on most everything on the rig and can run anything he wants. He runs Speed Bumps, end of discussion.

He must have changed to his other shocks recently then its been a month or so since ive last seen it... Just because one racer runs them doesnt mean there they cant fail or are a great buy. Tons of of local racers in his area are running others.. . Also just confirmed he is not allowed hydraulic bumps in his class hence the speed bumps. So in his scenario it is a good option as hes needs 2" rubber bumps and they fall in that category....those bumps can still hit pretty damn hard. I was wheeling with him one of the times he cracked his frame up front. I know hes hard on them but id bet money if he could run others in his class he would...

Lol, if he could run a V8 & coilovers he would, too. Within the rules Speed Bumps do the job for him and he doesn't run junk on that LJ.

I am merely saying theres a reason the speed bumps are within the dirt riots stock mod class specs lol hydraulic/air not allowed but teraflex speed bumps they dont care if you run those or other "stock" rubber bumpstops. Keep in mind there "awesome" in your eyes but he still also needs rubber bumps on his control arms...

Abiding by the 'don't knock it til you've tried it' ideology, and to hopefully avoid a pissing contest, here's my first hand real world experience and OPINION on running speed bumps... Are they essentially over priced pretty cans of bump foam?- I agree with that. Will a hydraulic or air bump offer more and better quality results? Yep. Are they prone to failure/break down?- sure, what isn't, only I personally have yet to hear any first hand experience and pics of destruction. Are they any different or better than say sumo spring foam bumps or oe bumps?-of course. Speed bumps are a nice addition if you're looking for some relief to your JK that is not a trailered full blown rock crawler. Smaller whoops, some high speed washboard, hard drops/slips on both front wheels or one, they do their job nicely. My opinion here is based on running speed bumps only on the front, rear I run only Sumo spring upper bumps.
