Default Looking to buy this jeepto get back into a wrangler. Want you're opinions

My wife and I were looking at jeeps and came across this one. Its built exactly the way she had envisioned. Dealer is letting me take it over night tonight. Wanting your opinions and what specifics I should be inspecting. It is a Rubicon with 4.10s.

Thanks for any input. Below is the link

The mods are all personal preference, so if they’re up your alley, it looks like a decent deal. That looks like a DV8 fastback hard top…..which isn’t cheap (however neither are the smitty’s or ghost tops), and nice Warn powerplant. If that’s a real TOTL hood, nice quality part as well, might take a close look to see if that is real or a knock off. No great pics of the suspension……you might snap a couple to try and figure out what you have. Snap pics of the control arms and steering components up front. All in all, it doesn’t seem like a bad price for the mileage and build if you like it. Typically I don’t like the idea of buying used and already built, but this might be an exception if it’s done right…..and it appears the previous owner has spent some money. The ONLY thing that would have been better is if it was a ’13…..so you’d have bit more comfortable seats.

All it needs is some 22" white wheels. Jump on it.

If only looking a pics, there are 2 dead giveaways to look for. The first is a much more pronounced ridge down the middle of the hood. On our design, the ridge in the middle is very subtle, on the knock offs it looks like a Rhodesian Ridge Back. The second giveaway which is probably much easier to spot is that the side vents on knock offs are separate plastic inserts which stick out quite a bit and have a clear edge around them indicating that they are inserts. Those are molded into our hood for a much sleeker look.

In person, the knock off will obviously be made of metal while ours is fiberglass and the knock off will not have any hydra channels located behind the cowl vents to direct water away from your engine.

Thanks. Was guessing some of it was the side vents....but couldn't tell if those were inserts or someone just painted black as to pronounce them.

OP: I would pass. Is the exterior bedlined? Run. Once you get it dirty, good luck ever getting all the dirt and crap out. There's a lot of 'mods' on that thing that raises red flags such as the angry bird grill, red painted sway bar, stock tie rod, and stock diff cover. It's almost like one shop pumps out a million of these same JK/JKU's with the exact same mods.
