I think without the back part of the top the panels sit lower allowing the screws to go deeper.

I think the screws are only necessary if you run the top off but want to put the freedom top panels back on. I trimmed my screws down a bit and they don't hit the top with the spacer not folded out.

I belive this is correct also. If you have the freedom panels on with the main hard top, the L-latch secures the back of the freedom panels down. I never use my screws with the main panel in place.

Its called being more efficient, and no, i wont carry my drill around with me, but why would I? I am not carrying the freedom panels with me either. I know how to operate a cordless drill, Do you? I know when to stop so I dont over tighten the bolts. You might not have arthritis, but your english sucks.

More painting. I swear once you start you just think of more stuff to do. Got rid of chrome trim in gauges with a flat black and the rest gecko!

Easy take off cover below steering wheel first. Then below cluster on bottom corners should be 2 bolts. Take them off. In between my air vents I have the little tray. Pulled it out and was bolt behind also. On top of dash where you can store stuff. Lift up tray another bolt. Start prying from any corner. 4 bolts on gauges is another 4 bolts. Back of gauges is 3 wires unplug. And remover clear cover and enjoy. Hope it helps. Btw this is for 2012 jk. Shouldn't be to different for you

Awesome. I'm gonna order some spray cans and get this done. How many coats of paint an did you use a clear coat. Also any scuffing or sanding?
Thanks
