Since you have a 3.6L you WILL need a new front shaft in short order, even with the 2.5" kit so plan on it.
I'm still trying to decide on a 3.5" or 2.5". I currently have 2.5" AEV and would like the extra lift, but not if it is going to need all kinds of steering corrections. I don't mind going for a new DS, but I need to draw the line somewhere with regards to price. I trust MC and their engineering, but there is so much info and misinformation out there that it gets confusing.

Your just throwing money away switching from one lift to another anyway. Your money do what you want. If you want the 3.5" coils order them up and if you don't like the steering feel just swap them out for the 2.5" coils and sell the 3.5". Whats another $150-200 when you are throwing away $2k

Actually new drive shafts will cost you much more that most steering correction stuff. I did a synergy draglink flip, not only is it very beefy but it fixed my bump steer and flighty feel. It was only $325

I am an engineer and I can tell you that even the best planning doesn't always work in the real world. I know for a fact that MC put a lot of effort and engineering into their kits and the rear track bar bracket, but I can also tell you that it caused more problems for me than good when put into real use.

As far as the front geometry correction goes, I think money is better spent on bracing the sector shaft brace of the steering box than a d-link flip. But that's just me and my opinion. If I had a 2-door I might think differently but I would likely test first and just budget for the possible need or want to add it if I were unhappy.

All this said, I agree with Dirtman.... It seems silly to switch "kits" for a little more lift, but it's your money and if it makes you happy, well, that's what it's all about.

My question (I haven't read the entire thread yet) did MC warranty it, or did you have to pay for a replacement?

I'm not just switching for a little more lift. I want the CA's and TB's so I can dial everything in better. It also will allow for more flex when needed. My AEV is a very generic kit and can't accomplish those goals. If it rides better and I have no doubt it probably will then it will be money well spent for me.

Im not running a full kit. I have all the front and rear, upper and lower duraflex control arms. I have rancho and synergy components too. Kind of a frankenlift at the moment. I doubt I'll change much more with my suspensiom, it rides great and flexes awesome.

I probably could have just changed the CA's and TB's and left my AEV springs and shocks, but I really wanted the kit to be complete with their shock and coil combo. I know it is a waste of money probably, but not if it yields the ride quality I want.

Going from stock arms to MC arms is not going to improve your ride much at all. It will only give you more flex off-road. There are no complete lifts. I added Rick Krawler arms to my AEV 4.5 lift and there was no need to change everything else. All for one inch... It's Your $, good luck!
