However, I could be wrong, but I believe the tailshaft can be replaced with small section that is bolted on at the rear. That is where the adapter bolts on. So that may be what they are referring too. Mine had the durango adapter for the transfer case that I removed. The mopar # on my invoice is 52119433ab. The seal for it is #52119498aa. Again, these #'s can change. I ordered it from moparpartsamerica.com for about 73$. You must order online though to get that price. Otherwise dealer cost is over 100$.

I have been told the 1310 shaft will be fine for most folks. That is what i intend to put on myself later this summer. Ive got very little room right now after the exhaust is routed around it.
Yep, you're right it is a 545 tranny and here's a pic of the tag I found on the tranny to verify it.

Hey JKcondrey,

I would greatly appreciate if you could explain your process from start to finish with your build. I'd like to start buying the parts now so once the engine and tranny is ready it's just a matter of putting it in. Thanks!!

Well it's confirmed, the motor and tranny is out of a 2011 Jeep Commander according to Chryslar. I can now order my conversion kit, so far I have to order the conversion kit (AEV $5,400.00), the tranny adapter ($215.00), Seal for the adapter ($20.00), New Valve body for the tranny conversion ($500.00), Valve cover ($120.00) and Coil pack ($25.00). For a total of $6,280.00 plus or minus other parts like belt and fluids and stuff. Oh well guess I'll start order and get ready for the swap of a lifetime .

Did you speak to Dan or Brian at Burnsville? They are great guys and did an amazing job on my truck.

Don't drink the Average Everyday Vehicle koolaid the first time around!

Something tells me that this Hemi with 5:13 gears would have your Jeep beating Bugati's in a quarter mile run. LOL

Looking forward watching your build on here. Congrats

We have been debating the LS or the HEMI conversion. Going to watch this and see what happens.

Doing the same change to a 5.7 VVT and currently have 5:13 gears with 35's. I was worried that steep of gearing would put to much strain on the axles and might be a recipe for failure. I was thinking of dropping the gears back down to the original 4:10. Just not sure.
