This morning I remote started the jeep and the horn alarm started honking. I had to press unlock on my key to stop it. Also the headlights did not come on after exiting my Jeep and pressing lock on the key as it normally would do. Strange.

If I am not mistaken with the programmer all of that is adjustable. At least I think I saw options for everything while toying with the programmer. If I have time after completing the stereo install on my Rubi today I will pop out the evo all and hook It to the PC and check, mabey take a screen shot of the options and try to link them to here for yall to see.

Turns out you need to splice the yellow wire from the 20-pin harness to the yellow wire on the bigger main harness.

I am an IDIOT!!!

All works now!

I just went to install and ran into the EXACT problem. I thought this was supposed to be all plug and play. All the vids online dont mention anything about splicing. I was just about to email Car Depot about it. So annoying!

I would email them still. Your right it should be plug and play. If the amazon seller is selling as such then they need to be made aware.

the wires being connected are not into the vehicle harness. They are the unit it self so it is plug and play connecting it to the vehicle you just have to do the proper set up in order to be able to install it.

Ok so it's sort of plug and play.

The ones from the original ebay post were 100% plug and play.

I did email them. I just spliced those wires together and it works now. First 2 times I tested the remote start, the alarm went off as others have stated. 3rd time it did not. I am going to email about that now. Not sure if it would matter, but the first 2 times I hit the lock button pretty quick the 3 times, the last time I spaced them out a little and no alarm. Coincidence, who knows. I am at work now so can't play around with it anymore. I didnt put the dash back together yet. Its pretty safe at work, so the module is just sitting up on the dash until I get word back about the alarm issue.

There is one coming from the big white 20 pin connector, that harness is not connected to the T-harness at all. Then on the t-harness, there is a plug that has a purple and a yellow wire coming out of it, use that yellow wire.
