AEV has mentioned that the engine was designed as a wet compartment meaning all the electronic connectors are weatherproof. I wouldn't worry about a little mesh letting in some water on top. When it rains you are getting much more moisture coming through the bottom of the engine.

when you come my way, we'll definetly have to go to 4wd hardware (about 2 minutes from me)
the one employees red 4 door just got the truck master hood installed. I'll get some pics tommorrow.

Yeah, I'd love to see it in person. It definitely seems a lot more functional than the AEV hood because of where the heat exits and the ducting from the cowl with a little work could be very efficient.

Friends body shop painted the one for 4wd, he said it was one of the nicer after market hoods they have painted. Camp uses them as well. I'll get some pics tommorrow
