I'd go with PJ....if I were to do frame mounted I'd go with LoDs... I've seen the shrocks and they are very nice but I don't think I would get anything from them due to the extremely long wait time. I'm having some custom made but before I decided on the I would have gone with the LoDs

they mount to the bottom of the tub and the sides of the tub.

they are body mounted and wrap underneath the tub. this is why they can offer up so much clearance. also, unlike other body mounted rocker guards, they used bolts that go all the way through the body as opposed to just using nutserts.

If you are considering actually using these OFFROAD, consider something not tied to the body. Couldn't find what I was looking for, so I had some custom made that tie in directly to the frame rails. Strong enough that I use them to tie down my Jeep on my trailer.

why? when designed correctly, body mounted rocker guards are every bit as strong as a frame mounted rocker guard. i've been running a set of body mounted rocker guards on my TJ for years and believe it or not, i actually OFFROAD it. off road evolution had been running a set of PJ body mounted rocker guards on their jk and believe it or not, they actually OFFROAD their jeep too

and i'm running a set of frame mounted LoD rails on my jk and they are very nice too. however, i can assure you that the factory rubicon rails of which attach only to the pinch seams are extremely strong and can take a real beating. how do i know, i used to run them as well.

just because a rocker guard is mounted to the body doesn't necessarily mean that it is somehow inferior. it all depends on how it's designed and the PJ's are designed right.

have you looked at this thread? https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...t=SHOW+SLIDERS i was looking for them for long time, i was looking for something that was strong enough to use a high lift and cover the pinch seam something like boat side, also looks good i ended up getting the river raiders with the gater hide finish kenny was the guy that i delt with great guy and worked with me on the priceing "big plus"

well you could go with the riverraiders, but they stop at the pinch seem if I'm not mistaken. Ok, I found a pic

they are also installed with nutserts, if your going to go with all the trouble of drilling 1/2 holes into the tub, I would suggest the Purejeeps, they wrap completely around the tub and stop at the frame. They are secured with steel rods and bolts for extreme strength.

they do have two holes with nutserts, at that spot it would require removal of seat belt brackets to make it work like the rest of the mounting points. So they opted for nutserts.

However since they are mounted to the bottom of the tub, like the stock rubicon rockers. It does not take away from the strength
