both are great when it comes to thrashing but when it comes to hard core rock crawling, every advantage you can get will a help to you. more clearance would be an advantage. however, drilling through your body isn't for everyone and for me, i don't like any of the 4-door body mounted sliders so, i am running a set of lod's

Thanks again WOL

Valid points and I understand that a BB allows for more than just the 2" lift. ie: larger tires. I didn't think about the high-centering problem, valid point there too. I guess I'm just not that concerned with scraping the slider (kinda what its there for ) and like how they mount to the frame.

Thanks for the link too!

The 2doors just came out, probably not on their site yet... Give them a call, or David at Northridge is a LoD Vendor so you could talk to him....

I love my new LoD 4dr rails... Rock Solid, and it makes me happy knowing I am running something WOL runs on his JK (which means i did something right on mine

I think running tube steps that eat up another 3-4" is one thing, but losing 2" doesn't seem like much.

Couldn't find the 2-door version on the LoD website...are they no longer available?

The link WOL posted has them for about $150 less than David's site lists them for but I'll call him first and see what he can do

I have used the stock rubicon sliders and welded the rock bar (that you can buy already welded together) to the slider. It has several scrapes on it from use and is holding up great! Alot cheaper too!

surprisingly, the rubi rails are amazingly strong and do work very well. i have a couple of friends running them now and one with the rails attached and they hammer on them all the time and without any problems.

well this really never helped me so I take it they are all great and my buddy leaned me towards the Shrockworks and showed me some pics of them being thrashed. he just told me to get them in bare metal and paint them black myself because the powdercaot finish will tend to flake off after being hit once or twice

To the contrary, this thread helped me a great deal. I had some misgivings about running with the PJ sliders and was also looking at the LOD sliders. Shrockworks was also in the mix at some point, I dismissed them as an option along the way and why I can't even remember. Piginajeep addressed my concerns with the PJ sliders and I'm convinced they will be the right solution for me. Seeing the PJs off a Jeep in another thread as opposed to on it was the turning point.
