Sliders
yeah, that's what i figured. while the pinch seam lip may be enough to protect the pinch seam itself, there's nothing preventing the steel plate from pulling up and away from the body like it did for you. you may want to consider adding some steel plate or bar stock to the bottom of that lip, extend it towards the frame and bolting it into the base of your tub. this should help them to act like support straps and keep the rocker guards from pulling away from the body again.
nope. unlike the RR sliders, the mopar enhanced rockers tie into the pinch seam and are strapped to the bottom of the tub like they should be. trail bud has a set of them and he's hammered on them without any issues.

ok so regardless of price which are the best set of sliders out there all around. now I have been looking at the shrockworks to as well. so should it be the SW's or the PJ's? I just want to be able to put them on and not have to worry about function and have that piece of mind that when I comeinto a boulder that it will turn into granite and my Jeep will comeout with minor scratches...

Does LoD not make their sliders for a 2 door?
I like the fact that the LoD sliders attach to the frame. Sure it'll cost you a little ground clearance, but you'll be on the slider anyway so what does it matter? I just have a hard time believing that a slider that mounts to the pinch seam and the body is strong enough and wont dent either the body or the pinch seam.
What makes the PJ sliders so strong with only mounting on those two areas?

yes, lod does make a 2-door version as well and it is very nice.

as far as the PJ sliders go, they are made well and are designed to distribute impacts across the entire body. they are not necessarily stronger than other rocker guards - just work as well and offer more clearance.

Thanks WOL!
On a 2 door - is the extra 1.5-2" of clearance that important after a lift and say 35-38" tires? I guess I just don't understand why losing a little bit of clearance is of such high importance
I think running tube steps that eat up another 3-4" is one thing, but losing 2" doesn't seem like much.
Couldn't find the 2-door version on the LoD website...are they no longer available?
