So do you think this can happen to the enhanced mopar sliders TOO... Not enough support laterally???

nope. unlike the RR sliders, the mopar enhanced rockers tie into the pinch seam and are strapped to the bottom of the tub like they should be. trail bud has a set of them and he's hammered on them without any issues.

ok so regardless of price which are the best set of sliders out there all around. now I have been looking at the shrockworks to as well. so should it be the SW's or the PJ's? I just want to be able to put them on and not have to worry about function and have that piece of mind that when I comeinto a boulder that it will turn into granite and my Jeep will comeout with minor scratches...

I can tell you without a doubt you wont damage your tub with the PJ's.

Does LoD not make their sliders for a 2 door?

I like the fact that the LoD sliders attach to the frame. Sure it'll cost you a little ground clearance, but you'll be on the slider anyway so what does it matter? I just have a hard time believing that a slider that mounts to the pinch seam and the body is strong enough and wont dent either the body or the pinch seam.

What makes the PJ sliders so strong with only mounting on those two areas?

yes, lod does make a 2-door version as well and it is very nice.

as far as the PJ sliders go, they are made well and are designed to distribute impacts across the entire body. they are not necessarily stronger than other rocker guards - just work as well and offer more clearance.

Thanks WOL!

On a 2 door - is the extra 1.5-2" of clearance that important after a lift and say 35-38" tires? I guess I just don't understand why losing a little bit of clearance is of such high importance

I think running tube steps that eat up another 3-4" is one thing, but losing 2" doesn't seem like much.

Couldn't find the 2-door version on the LoD website...are they no longer available?

when playing on the rocks, i often find that the lowest point on a jeep is the rockers. and, sometimes yeah, 2" can make all the difference between clearing an obstacle and getting high centered. i mean, if 2" really wasn't such a big deal, no one would by budget boosts for their jeep. don't get me wrong, i run lod sliders and love them but i am also acknowledging the benefits that the PJ sliders have.
