both the RR and AEV snorkel bolt to the windshield. So you won't be able to fold the windshield down.

4 bolts and the AEV is off and you are back to stock.....then you can fold the windshield.

Out of curiosity, how deep are you guys going with these JK's? The air intake isn't the only part of a Jeep that dosn't like water.
Manual transmissions with their clutch parts, fluid filled axles, grease packed wheel bearings, and the many electrical components all should be kept as dry as possible. The BIGEST problem with water isn't going through it, it's being forced to stop in it. That's when the trouble sets in. I know from experience!

Will the River Raider or the AEV be any different to install since I currently have an AirRaid intake? I dont want to have to buy a stock intake and a snorkel

I think the RR only works with the stock box. I'm patiently waiting for the volant to come out I also have an Airaid . I still have my stock box and intake tube but I drilled holes in the box( redneck cai) . Really rather have the option of the volant if they ever make the snorkel for it.

I have a question or two about the River Raider.
#1 What was your total cost?
#2 What finish did you use? (painted it, black bedliner, etc.)
#3 Doesn't water simply get in with a heavy rain? The AEV looks like it would prevent this but with the RR it seems to me that SOME water would HAVE to get in it (I have talking hurricane-style here, live on FL east coast.)
Thanks.

Has anyone that has a snorkel noticed a difference in power/gas mileage?
