I haven't noticed any change in gas mileage or power. (Other than of course that it is still running after a wave of water and mud comes up over the hood).

Ya no joke... the windshield is ridiculous hard to take down. And does not look good to boot.

does all the debris comin in effect much of anything??
maybe a mesh grill insert would help??

im new to jk and am very interested in new things for my jeep.

I do get about 1.5 mpg more, but I added a K&N drop in filter at the same time, so I don't know if it was the snorkel, the filter or the combination.

why would the snorkel give u better mileage?
i always have problems gettin mud and water in my horn..thatd get rid of the issue right?

I have the ARB Safari snorkel. I did a fair amount of home work when I was looking at snorkels and my biggest concern was getting the most air to the airbox. The Safari snorkel has the largest tube sections and all of the bends are smooth, large and rounded. The River Raider has such small openings and sharp edges I would imagine the airflow would be greatly impeded.

My two cents:

Since the functionality of the different Mfgs is essentially the same, I made my decision based on looks and the type of materials used (plastic versus aluminum, you will hear arguements for both).
