Granted this happened during a major storm and downpour that flooded the whole island 3 feet in 30 minutes
And I was driving in it kinda expected a little but was surprised how much came out of the drain

How difficult is it to extend your vent tubes for diffs, t-case, and tranny? What size hoses would work, and what is the recommended length? Also, I think I've seen little filters that can be put on the ends of the vent tubes. What exactly are they and where would you find them?

I'm thinking about an AEV snorkel, or one like it, if it can fit with my Eautogrills mounts and LED windshield light bar.

I have the rugged ridge snorkel for 3.8
Since it only takes about 30 seconds to change, I usually spin mine around if I know that heavy rain is expected; however, I've also driven with it forward through severe rain storms without any issue too.

If you have an auto, it's a fairly easy job. For the manuals, hooking in the tranny is a bit of a pain because there is not an OEM hose to tap into. But still not too bad a job. As for the "little filter": Look at the ends of your OEM breather lines and you should find one on each one. They keep muck from getting down the hoses into the fluid cases.

The easiest way to extend the breathers is to cut off a short (few inches) section of hose, disconnect the existing hose from the diffy, transfer case or tranny, then insert the new piece there with a barrel connector. Not sure of hose size (5/16"?), but it's easy for you to take one off and measure.

However, if you extend your breather lines to the engine air filter box, the little filters are no longer needed and your fluids are even better protected from water contamination, especially if you have a snorkel. If you're interested in this possibility, PM me an e-mail address and I will send you some instructions on how you can do that for about $25-30 in parts. Or, you can search on the River Raider Breather Line Extension kit and just buy Smilin' Bob's pre-made kit for $75-80.

The old AEV snorkel has the 3" diameter tube, the newer one has 4".
I used a rubber insert to fit the new pre-cleaner to my 1st gen. snorkel.

I got the river raider breather extension kit and it tied it all into my aev snorkel. Half hour to install the kit. I also have a psc mount for my 50" so ur eauto mount should work

why wouldn't you have just bought the top spin with a 3" opening? I bought mine new for under 40 bucks.
