Hey Goody, didn't get to check my "data logging" today, but can you run the Tow Tune with 87 octane? I see you are running 91 I believe. I shouold be able to just write it on top of the 87 performance or do I have to go back to stock then install the Tow Tune?

As mentioned the tow tune is for more low end grunt. I use it as a daily driver, so to me, it is a daily driver/tow tune. You wanna race the thing, the performance tune will gain top end power.
Are you using 90+ octane while running the tow tune?

+1 the the above statement.

The pinging/detonation issue needs to be addressed. Give our customer service department a call at 888-227-2447 to log the issue with a tech so the engineer can look into it for you and get the issue resolved promptly.

I am not convinced it is the tuner yet. I did a blend of 93/87 that probably did not net me a 91 octane, so I am going to run it down on fuel, then make sure I am 91 in my fuel system. If I still experience knocking, I will give you folks a call.

This knocking and pinging, can it be felt or is it just heard above regular engine noise?

How often should you update the programming on your Superchips?
I bought mine a year ago and have done it since it was new...

I try to keep everyone updated when new features come out but it won't hurt you to update the programmer periodically.

I just spoke with the engineer today inquiring about the pinging issue and he stated that you may notice some pinging for the first 50 miles after programming the vehicle due to the PCM relearn that is common for all Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep vehicles.

Those that are experiencing pinging, drive the vehicle as you would normally with a mixture of WOT and part throttle driving for 50 miles straight or over a period of days and see if the pinging issues subside.

That could be 99.9% of the problem.

I will give that a try, though FWIW, I have no pinging with the 87 octane tune (right out of the box).

Is the SF worth the money for a 2 door 6 speed? I have heard a lot of great things about it for the auto's but not so much the 6 speeds. What would be the benefits of owning it? Gas Milage? Towing? Power increase?

Any info would be much appreciated!

Thanks and
