How's the gear change timing using SC? s Is it easy or cumbersome?
You may try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins to reset the shift points. Then drive it for 500 miles the way you normally would to "relearn" your shift points.

At least that is what I've read. There is discussion on resetting the shift points on here. Check it out to verify.

Default 87 Octane and Tow setting.

Ok so i've searched through this thread as much as humanly possible without my eyes bleeding. Ive seen alot of people ask if you can run 87 octane on the Tow setting and the best anwser ive found is that you can, as long as you dont have pinging after 50 miles.
Can anyone verify that it is Ok to use 87 with the tow setting and not cause any damage?

Thanks and sorry to ask the same question thats been asked 100x's but i cant seem to find a definite anwser on this and want to make sure im not going to cause any damage

As you mentioned many get away with running 87 on the tow tune. But to me it's one of those things if you don't trust it don't do it run the 91.

So i've been running Tow tune with 87 for about 120 miles or so with no pinging and love it. Much better response from off the line, highway acceleration seems better and gas mileage has increased by almost by 2mpg (using jeeps avg mpg).. Just tried the 87 tune and it felt alot like stock to me so im back to running the tow tune. Def worth the $200 i paid for it on craigslist

I've been running mine at 87 and upped it to 91 today running 93 octane. seemed a little better, shifting isnt as snappy as the tow tune. Absolutely no pinging, running the latest update from superchips, may work back up to the 93 tune once I've got a few tanks of 93 through my system (I was getting a slight ping last fall, hoping the updates have corrected it).

Your gonna love the 93 tune, I bought it, updated it, installed it setting to 93 tune with SuperChips shifting, and I think it really woke the thing up and the shifting is now a lot better. I run 91 or if I can find it 93 octane. I got ping on first tank full about for first 10 minutes but I had half 87 octane and 91 octane in tank, now several 91 octane tanks later still no ping. It's all good

Hmmm that's weird. Maybe someone will chime in to help. Did you look under the quick tune setup?
